This sites name comes from a very long story, a story that happened a long time ago...

Let me give you some important back information:

I used to make websites for fun back in the day (surprise) and in Ninety Nine, the peak of image editing software was Adobe Photoshop, which if I am correct *checks records* is still damned expensive. I had access in my lower middle-classness to get to use MS Paint. Now i'm not dogging on MS Paint, it has many wonderful features, like simplicity. Meanwhile my peers, or as I felt digital peers, were able to access the good stuff, leaving my website lackluster in comparison.

Moving on with my explanation, there were, and still are these things called WebRings. Well little 'ole me decided that I wanted to join a few of these and most accepted me, except CherryComa. I am sure to this day it was because my graphics were not up to par as hers were, which I'm pretty sure that is what it was because thats what she said in the declination email. And on that day I swore vengance. So when CherryComa.net came up for sale almost twenty plus years later I jumped on the chance to buy it. I made my first iteration of the website, with the splash page clearly laying out the issue.

This splash was based on a great skit on SNL called "Career Day", it perfectly encapsulates my feelings on the whole situation. The previous creator found the site, or rather checked in on what happened to it and saw what I wrote. Short of the long of it, she apologized in my guestbook, and said she didn't have any idea I had taken it that hard. I just feel that given the same economic opportunity, or the time, I could have done better, or even met her standards. Either way, the moment was had, and hopefully both parties walked away with some new found understanding. Or not.

If I had it my way I might co-name, or "overlay-name" this website with ones I've had previosly. Endlesslight.net, or NaykosDressingRoom.com are always good ones. LostSailorSenshi.com certainly didn't get it's fair amount of time in the sun so to speak. That was fun, and those all had their time, but I think about it sometimes and if I had to pick what I could name it now it for sure would be something new. Now to what, I don't know, but I think as long as the creative spark is there, that is what is important.
